Another Week Gone

Spent the weekend tidying up my new kitchen, washing all the plaster dust spots and all the kitchen stuff which all has a thick layer of dust on it now! Still have two more boxes to do, am hoping to get one done this morning before taking Jules outside to play while I make a start on weeding one of the flower gardens. I got Peter to plant the vege garden yesterday, just seeds so far, but I will go and get seedlings on Wednesday for lettuce, tomato and capsicum. We also planted some strawberries for Jules on Saturday and some herbs for me.
Back to work tonight, have done a couple of bar shifts and have really been enjoying myself because it feels like no-one is watching me and I can just relax and enjoy the work. It helps that it is busy at the moment on one of the two bars, luckily I 'm in that one again tonight, but switch to the quiet on tomorrow night, which means lots of cleaning, but thats ok as it will keep me busy.
I am hoping to liberate our study soon, but I think will have to wait until our new floors get laid, I have to call the flooring man today to comeover for a proper measure so we know when we can do it.. can't wait! It feels like it has taken so long for this renovation to be finished, the tiler is hopefully coming today to tile the kitchen and laundry, and to do our new ensuite the rest of the week , then they just need to finish of some minor plastering, finish the lighting and power points, then put a new screen door on and its pretty much finished! Peter has started painting the laundry, but ran out of paint . He needs to paint the laundry and the ensuite ceiling for the renovation to be considered complete, to get the rest of the money from the bank and until we can get the rest of the money from the bank, we can't get the flooring put down or the ducted cooling put in!!! Hassle hasssle hassle! So all in all, it will be about two weeks before the builder is finished, a week to get the money, then who knows how long to get the other stuff done... Aaarrggghhhh. Oh well. Better get going on that kitchen,
Mel
