Poem for Xantha

Butterfly Angel,
Your old soul eyes staring at Mummy and Daddy,
You tell us that you chose us,
But you are here only for a short time.

Butterfly skin, they call it,
Gentle loving required,
To be told you had the lifespan of a butterfly,
Never to see your first birthday.

So like a butterfly,
You spread your wings in flight,
Now we miss you with each sunrise,
And dream of you each night.

A butterfly, now free to fly away,
Though for us your wings will never fade.
Big sister will miss growing up with you,
Younger siblings, never to know you.

No more pain, butterfly baby,
Your sweet baby skin, no longer marred,
No longer wrapped in silk and satin,
Your fingers and toes free to wiggle.

Xantha Maree,
Butterfly Angel,
Always Loved,
Always Remembered.

OH my goodness Mel...this poem has touched me greatly..I can hear your love for Xantha in this poem and it is beautiful....you should be proud of yourself..you are trying so hard and doing well..I am glad you are going to get counselling and that you have decided that you need to just concentrate on you..weight loss is secondary to all you are dealing with and learning to cope with...maybe a support group for mums that have lost children young would be of benefit as well...I wish I could give you a hug so am sending you a cyber hug in the hpe that you feel it...
Take care of you and Jules and all my best to Peter too..
With much love
Berrie :) xxxxxooooo
